It’s All The Same Truth

All judgement fell away when I finally saw the truth, that every mythology, every religion, everything based in science, and all spiritual teachings, were saying the same thing but just using different language.

It’s humans that have developed this sense of separation and division, and corrupted the true message.

We are all headed towards the same thing no matter how we describe or qualify it.

And it is my belief that anyone honestly on the search for truth will get there.

11 Months

Today marks eleven months of sobriety without any mind altering substances.

Coming to believe in an all loving creator has transformed everything about me. Building a relationship with my creator, placing my life in his hands and slowly walking step by step, hand in hand with faith, has made this last eleven months the most amazing time in my life.

It has been full of triumphs and heartache. I have had moments of feeling lost and moments of bliss.

That’s the human experience.

Most of all, I finally have the solid belief that anything is possible and limits have seemed to fall away.

Continually I learn, grow and awaken.

How could I not be grateful for my life as it is today compared to how I’ve lived before this?

Simple Spiritual Principles

How do I change the world?

I change myself.

I start with me and consistently, though never perfectly, focus on being the kind of person I would like to see in the world.

I’m true to myself no matter what. When I can do no other, when I feel that feeling deep within that an action must be taken or words must be spoken, I do so.

I do my very best to exist in the world without judgement of myself and my actions, and therefore have no right to judge another.

I strive to not cause spiritual, emotional, mental or physical harm to myself or anyone else.

I love without conditions. I don’t need to do or be anything to be deserving of love nor does anyone else.

I stay present. The past is history and future is unknown so why live there and miss the miracle of right now.

I thank God every day that I am still breathing, my heart is still beating and I have two feet on the ground.

And I serve God and my fellow humans as best as I can, as my primary purpose every day.

With these simple principles, the world I live in does change.

Or at least if only to me.

Plan of the Universe

Sometimes God does for us what we cannot do for ourselves.

I believe when things, people or situations are removed from us, this happens to make room for the new. If I look back I can see that this always happens in my best interest.

When I cannot let get go of something, if it’s time for it to be over, it is literally removed from me.

As long as I get into acceptance and surrender, there may be pain but suffering is optional.

The universe lays out the path for me and by staying present I can hear the answers and see what is presented for me to do.

None of this matters though if it’s only in theory. Unless I have trust in a higher power, what I call it is irrelevant, then how can I let go of trying to manage and control everything around me?

How can I allow the universe to come to me and find peace in the chaos of the world surrounding me?

I am blessed with the life I have been given today.

Thank you God for everything, the lessons, the pain, the joy, the gifts and the miracles.

Everything is exactly as it should be.

Finding Peace Today

Surrendering to the divine plan of the universe is so much easier than trying to exert my will against it.

There is nothing to figure out.

Today I need do nothing but just be the creature God intended me to be.

I just need to do the next thing presented to me.

If I just stay present, out of the allusion of self and serve others with love, I can be at peace.
